Bachelor\'s at Engineering from Universidade Federal Fluminense (1986), Master in Computer and Systems Engineering from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1993), Ph.D. in Geography from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and Geoinformatic and Natural Resource Management- Faculty of Geoinformation Science and Earth Observation (ITC, Netherlands),1997. She is currently associate researcher at Maison de la Télédétection (CIRAD/UMR TETIS,Agropolis/Montpellier-France), fellow professor - Université Rennes 2 Haute Bretagne, professor at the University of Rio de Janeiro (Post Grad Course on Geomatics and D.Sc. Course on Environment) is also senior researcher of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation, Secretary of International Relationship. Has experience in Geoinformatics applied to Geosciences with an emphasis in Remote Sensing, Geographic Information System - Spatial Analysis, environmental/agricultue monitoring, Land Use Change (LUC) and Land Use Modelling.
