this is the last call for participation to the 6th IEEE ComSoc Student Competition 2018: the extended deadline 15 September is approaching!
I kindly request you to publicize this Call on your TC mail lists and to do your personal best to ensure that our best Student Members will participate to the 6th edition of the IEEE ComSoc Student Competition "Communications Technology Changing the World". Nelson and I launched and have been chairing this Program since 2013.
The Competition is open to graduate and undergraduate students, who are members of the IEEE Communications Society. Its purpose is to recognize students or teams of students who demonstrate the capacity to improve the lives of people, through the application of communication technology and the development of projects that meet the human needs of people.
The First Prize consists of $2000 + plaque. Winner(s) will be invited to receive it at IEEE GLOBECOM 2018, Abu Dhabi (travel expenses refunded). See all details at: http://www.comsoc.org/communications-technology-changing-world The deadline for submissions is 15 September (extended).
The IEEE ComSoc Student Competition has been a great success since its first edition in 2013. We hope to receive many qualified submissions also this year. Many thanks for your attention. Best regards.
Stefano Bregni Vice-President for Conferences, IEEE Communications Society
