Dear Colleague,
I will appreciate very much if you please could distribute this email to promote unique research Internship opportunities in Canada to your senior undergraduates (and interested colleagues in Brazil) that could serve as a great catalyst for future bilateral research collaborations.
The Globalink Research Internship offers a 12-week research project at Canadian universities for high-achieving senior undergraduates from Brazil. Starting May 2017, approved students travel to Canada, where they work with a faculty supervisor and other researchers at their host universities.
Interns receive:
* Stipend for living expenses
* Professional development workshops
* Local Globalink Mentors
For more information, please visit the Globalink Research Internships web page at http://www.mitacs.ca/en/programs/globalink/globalink-research-internship?utm_source=call&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=GRIStudentCall-GLO.
My research group at the Wireless Lab <http://www.wirelesslab.ca> has contributed five eligible internship projects having the following titles:
1. Maximum Likelihood Estimation of Doubly-Selective Channels for Next-Generation 5G Wireless Systems
2. Advanced Cooperative Communications for Future Virtualized 5G Networks
3. Study and Implementation of Localization Algorithms for Wireless Sensor Networks
4. Performance Analysis of Multi-Aperture Multi-User Mixed FSO/RF Dual-Hop Relaying Systems with Pointing Errors
5. Hardware Integration and Over-the-Air (OTA) Validation of a Cognitive Transceiver on a Software Defined Radio (SDR) Platform
whose detailed descriptions can be easily found by sorting the whole list of eligible projects available online under the “Projects” webpage using “affes” as a search keyword. To access the list of eligible projects, please visit MITACS online database at https://globalink.mitacs.ca/.
Please note that the student call for applications for Globalink Research Internships has been open since August 15th. The deadline to apply is September 20, 2016, at 4:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT).
Many thanks in advance for your precious time and very kind assistance.
